#BrendinHorner: 'No freedom in SA'─── 07:45 Wed, 09 Jun 2021
A man who is known for draping himself in chains while protesting against farm killings, has explained the logic behind the shackles.
Speaking to OFM News outside the Senekal Magistrate's Court in the Free State, Phakamile Sitho said there is still no freedom in South Africa after 27 years of democracy.
Sitho also used an example of a chained dog, explaining a dog that is chained up is not free. Sitho, who claims to be the voice of farmers, called for justice to be done in Senekal's Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. This, as Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa were to appear in court for their alleged role in the murder of a young farm manager, Brendin Horner.
OFM News previously reported that Sitho was flanked by young men who were also at the Free State court to support his cause against the threat to food security, amongst other things. He said that he travelled from the Eastern Cape to give support to the family of Horner who was brutally murdered in October 2020 in Paul Roux near Fateng Tse Ntsho.
