Minister requested to deal with alleged political interference─── 15:50 Mon, 18 Jul 2022
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is formally requesting the minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, to revisit the Mangaung Metro in order to deal with alleged continued political interference.
This was part of the opposition party's action plan that they announced during a media briefing on Monday. The plan further includes a request for her to deal with the attempts to subvert the work of the National Intervention Teams.

The opposition party is of the opinion that there is no development with regard to addressing the inflated salary bill of the Metro, improving the road infrastructure, solid waste management, refuse removal, water leaks, and service delivery fleet repairs. This comes in spite of the minister's written response to a question posed by the DA for written reply in the National Assembly.
