Nominations concluded, ANC leadership votes to get underway in North West─── 09:07 Sun, 14 Aug 2022
Despite an attempt to seek an urgent court interdict to halt the ANC's ninth provincial conference in Rustenburg, credentials have been adopted in the early hours of the morning and nominations have also been concluded.
ANC delegates are expected to vote for their top five later today.
The former premier, Supra Mahumapelo, did not make it, with former MEC for Human Settlements, Nono Maloyi, and premier Bushy Maape being the two candidates to have met thresholds.

In a twist of events, former ANC Youth League (ANCYL) deputy secretary, Keneetswe Mosenogi, has been nominated for the secretary position, taking on Louis Diremelo.
Speaking at the conference, national spokesperson, Pule Mabe, said credit must be given to the Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) for the good work of organising the conference.
Lopang Rothman told OFM News last night that they are planning to halt the conference completely. The urgent court interdict has been seen by OFM News, however, the conference is ongoing.
