Camel saved from floodwaters in Australia─── 12:51 Fri, 28 Oct 2022
Several rescue teams from Australia reacted to a report of a camel that needed to be rescued from flooding.
The domesticated camel, Gina, was caught in floodwaters in Moama, close to the Victoria border, according to Fire and Rescue New South Wales.
According to Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector Phillip Eberle, "camels can't swim, and Gina was uncomfortably close to the banks."
Gina was saved by the efforts of the Fire and Rescue NSW team, State Emergency Service, Surf Life Saving, and Marine Rescue officers. The camel was led back to dry land by rescuers using hay in large handfuls.
