Potchefstroom - Ousted Tlokwe City Council executive mayor, Annette Combrink has lost her appeal to be re-instated as mayor of Potchefstroom.
The North Gauteng High Court ruled that the motion of no confidence in Combrink, passed on 26 February this year by ANC councillors, was valid.
Returning ANC Mayor Maphetle Maphetle was reinstated after three months of DA rule, after he himself was booted from office by his fellow ANC members amidst claims of financial mismanagement and corruption. This was followed by repeated visits to Potchefstroom by ANC National and Provincial Leadership, including President Jacob Zuma.
