Welkom - Five men and a woman accused of abducting and killing Welkom businessman Tony Teixeira, will lodge a formal bail application in the Welkom Magistrates Court today. Pieter Vorster, Mahlomola Dhladhla, Tsietsi Mara, Mosoatsi Tsemane, Elvis Nkhabu and Amelia Makoko are accused of killing Teixeira after his abduction on March 14. His body was found six days later in Saaiplaas, Virginia, by a mine security guard. He had been shot in the head and his hands and feet were tied. The men forced their way into Teixeira's home, where they stole jewellery, cellphones and cash before kidnapping him at gunpoint. Free State police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng said the police are searching for a seventh man thought to be linked to the crime.
