Bloemfontein - Defence Advocate Johann Nel has this morning asked Judge Mojalefa Rampai to strike the testimony of Andries Botha from the record as it is not admissible in terms of Section 217 of the Criminal Procedures Act.

Botha is testifying in the Mangaung treason trial in which Johan Prinsloo is accused of plotting to kill the ANC leadership during its elective conference in Mangaung in 2012.

Judge Rampai will rule on Monday on whether or not the evidence of Botha is admissible.

Tollie Vreugdenburg, who was the chief investigator in the Boeremag Case, is currently delivering testimony.
