Thaba Nchu - A group of disgruntled learners at the Bartimea School for the deaf and blind in Thaba Nchu in the Free State are believed to have locked themselves and other learners not involved in this week's unrest, into the school's hostels overnight.
The group, who set the school's administration building alight yesterday, forcefully removed hostel staff and went unsupervised overnight.
Police spokesperson, Peter Kareli says they are unsure of where the children are at the moment.
Learners are unhappy over the erection of a fence which separates the male and female hostels at the school.

Kareli says for now the situation is calm.
Parents have been asked to urgently collect their children from the school.
