Three to appear for attempted robbery at Sasko Bloemfontein Bakery─── THANDI XABA 07:42 Mon, 16 Feb 2015
Bloemfontein - Three people are expected to appear in court today in connection with an attempted armed robbery at the Sasko Bloemfontein Bakery at the weekend.
Free State police spokesperson Maselela Langa says at around 01:00 on Saturday morning six men went to the bakery under the pretence of reporting for duty.
One of the security officers on duty suspected and questioned if the men were indeed employed at Sasko but could not get clarity.
Three suspects entered the premises while three kept watch outside. Once inside the suspects told the security officer at gun point to open the safe, but the officer said he did not have the keys.
