Extent of damage after fire at Bloemfontein guesthouse unclear─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 07:45 Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Bloemfontein - It is still unclear how much damage was caused when a fire gutted a spa at a guesthouse near Langenhovenpark in Bloemfontein last night.
Tertia de Bruin, whose husband Johan is the owner of Horizon Stables, says they are thankful the flames did not spread to the guesthouse.
According to her most of the separate timber houses, which are operated as a spa, were destroyed in the fire. At this stage it is difficult to establish the extent of the damage.
De Bruin says she was not at home last night and was alerted by a neighbour about the fire.
Meanwhile, emergency services officials will start investigating the cause of the blaze this morning.
