Bloemfontein brothel case: One suspected prostitute fails to arrive at court | News Article

Bloemfontein - An arrest warrant has been issued for one of four alleged prostitutes after she failed to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court as scheduled this morning.

Princess Ncube was due to appear alongside her co-accused Zanele Ncube, Sindisile Gumede and Sthando Zondi. She however failed to turn up.

The case case against the women, accused of running a guesthouse in Fleurdal, Bloemfontein as a brothel, was postponed to July 29 for final investigation.

Princess also faces a charge of possession of cocaine, but the investigation into whether the drug found in her possession was in fact cocaine, has not yet been completed.

The alleged owner of the guesthouse, an academic in Bloemfontein, was arrested along with the women, but was released because the case was not placed on the court roll due to a technical error.
