Two dangerous men escape from Goedemoed Prison─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 18:24 Tue, 01 Dec 2015
Bloemfontein - Police in the Free State have made an urgent appeal to residents in Botshabelo near Bloemfontein to be on the lookout for two men who escaped from prison today.
Police spokesperson Zweli Mohobeleli says Theodarus Botha and Johannes Pheko, both serving life sentences, escaped from the Goedemoed Correctional Centre near Aliwal North at around noon. He says they overpowered a warder and stole his firearm and a vehicle.
Mohobeleli told OFM News that the two escapees were spotted in Botshabelo this afternoon.
They were driving a white Corsa bakkie with registration number BFM 945 FS. They are heavily armed.
