R300 000 reward still on offer for info on slain Koffiefontein police officers | News Article

A R300 000 reward is still on offer to anyone who can provide the police in the Free State with information about the killing of two police officers in Koffiefontein last month.

The provincial police commissioner, Lebeoana Tsumane, has once again appealed to community members to come forward with information that may lead to the arrest of suspects.

The bodies of Constable Obert Mekoa and David Manjo were found lying in a pool of blood at the Community Service Centre. It is suspected that they might have been attacked while on duty. A pistol of one of the officers was also reported missing. A case of two counts of murder and an armed robbery is still being investigated.

The police are urging anyone with information to contact Captain Laux on 082-854-7530 or on the Crime Stop number: 08600 10111, or report to the nearest police station.
