The Provincial Task Team Coordinator, William Bulwane, in a statement says the conference set to take place tomorrow at Ilanga Estate in Bloemfontein will proceed as planned and that he can confirm it’s all systems go.

This, despite disgruntled ANC members’ threats to apply for an urgent interdict against it. The group, amongst others, alleges that not all processes were followed at branch level and that the decision to convene the conference was not inclusive.

Bulwane also rebuts messages making rounds on social media claiming that the conference is no longer continuing. The province needs to elect its top structure after the Free State High Court declared the conference, which was held last year December in former ANC Provincial Chair Ace Magashule’s hometown Parys, as null and void.
