The accused Molebatsi Mogoera, a detective from the Bayswater unit, and Kagiso Chabane, who is a court orderly at the Magistrate's Court, were arrested last Friday and made their first court appearance on Monday. 

The accused now join businessman, Stanley Bakili, who was arrested hours after Siemens was murdered in broad daylight in the basement parking area of Preller Square on May 10.

The arrest comes on the back of Bakili’s numerous court appearances for bail application between May and June.  In a twist of events, Bakili, who is believed to be a business associate of Siemens, abandoned his bail application altogether on June 21. It was revealed during this time that Bakili has been linked to the crime via CCTV footage and that he had been in contact with the deceased on the day of the murder. 

He has a pending case of fraud and was previously fined R15 000 by the South African Revenue Services (SARS) for the same offence. Bakili was also found guilty of theft in 1996.
