Two men succumb to their injuries after aircraft crash in FS─── JOSCA HUMAN 16:13 Thu, 20 Sep 2018
The two men who were injured and severely burnt in the light aircraft crash at Bethlehem in the Free State, have succumbed to the injuries they sustained.
OFM News reported earlier that the two were critically injured when their aircraft crashed and caught fire.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said when paramedics arrived on the scene the aircraft was burning. He went on to say the community helped the two men out of the wreck.
Karien Collett, Patient Experience Manager at Mediclinic Hoogland in Bethlehem, says the injured were brought in yesterday, where they were treated for burn wounds and stabilised before they were airlifted to the Netcare Millpark Hospital in Johannesburg. Collett confirms they have been informed today of the death of Andrew Gooderham (24) and John Jacobs (53).
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation communications manager, Kabelo Ledwaba, told OFM News that they have been notified about the incident and they have since sent investigators to confirm the information and start the investigations.
