Three die in car accident outside Rustenburg─── 12:46 Sun, 13 Jun 2010

Three people were killed in a head on collision involving a Mercedes Benz truck and Chrysler Neon sedan on the N4 early this morning. The accident occurred about 14 kilometers from Rustenburg on the road to Swartruggens near Moodville at around 7. It appears that the Chrysler Neon with a Botswana Registration number plate crossed the barrier lane and collided head on with the truck. North West spokesperson for Public Safety, Lesiba Kgwele says it is suspected that the accident was caused by driver fatigue. All three passengers in the sedan were burned beyond recognition in the vehicle as it caught fire on impact. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene by paramedics.
