Curated by Amohelang Mohajane, 'Untold Stories' is an exhibition that is inspired by a re-discovered archive found in the NWU Records.

This exhibition is a journey to the past, going back almost 34 years ago into the history of our University and a particular archival narrative.

This archive was developed with the assistance of the former head of the campus in Mahikeng’s Secretariat and Archives, Krista Travis who saved the archive when the department ceased to exist.

The archive consists of original linocut and Oil on Masonite renderings of different subject matter.

These include figure drawing studies, cubism, and perspective, still life’s, self-portraits and everyday scenes from the hood, and some protest art.

Curated by Amohelang Mohajane, the exhibition runs from 29 September 2021 to 29 October 2021. Click here to view the exhibition.
