Shrien Dewani murder case thrown out of court─── 13:00 Mon, 08 Dec 2014

Cape Town - UK businessman Shrien Dewani has been discharged on a count of murdering his wife Anni while on honeymoon in South Africa.
Deputy Judge President Jeanette Traverso has granted an application for a discharge in the Western Cape High Court.
Judge Traverso said she does not know where the truth ends and the lies begin in taxi driver Zola Tongo's testimony.
She said the only reason not to grant the application would be out of hope that the accused would implicate himself if he took the witness stand. She said, to do so, would be a "manifest misdirection".

Dewani's lawyers have applied for the case to be thrown out, claiming there is no credible evidence against him. Judge Traverso said Tongo's testimony was riddled with contradictions and he did not hesitate to change his evidence as needed.
She said the entire story by Tongo is highly improbable.
