#HelenZille violated code of ethics with colonialism tweet─── 18:21 Mon, 11 Jun 2018

The Public Protectors office has found Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, violated the executive ethics code when she tweeted about the benefits of colonialism in 2017.
The complaint was lodged in July 2017 by an ANC member of the provincial legislature. Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, released the report among six others in Pretoria today. According to her the report will be handed over to the speaker if the legislature to hold Zille accountable...
Meanwhile Zille says she's likely to take the report on her tweet on judicial review. Zille's spokesperson, Michael Mpofu, says Zille is yet to receive the report.
In March last year, Zille tweeted; "for those claiming legacy of colonialism was only negative, think of our independent judiciary, transport infrastructure, piped water etc."
