Oxford street in Jhb collapses─── 00:00 Tue, 08 Jul 2008
A section of Oxford Road has collapsed between 8th Avenue and North Road in Killarney, Johannesburg. The Metro police's Wayne Minnaar says the road collapse occurred around one thirty this afternoon. He could not confirm whether it had collapsed into the Gautrain construction tunnels being built below the road. Motorists are being diverted onto 11th Avenue and Riviera Road. Minnaar said he had not received any reports of injuries.
