Lani Fouché -

Theunissen - The trial of the driver of the vehicle involved in a crash in which OFM presenter Lindsay Batteson-Kritzinger was killed, will start in the Theunissen district court today.

Phaga Nyela indicated during an earlier court appearance that he would plead not guilty to all charges against him.

Nyela faces charges of culpable homicide, fleeing the scene of an accident and driving without a licence.

His car collided with the bakkie in which Batteson-Kritzinger travelled in March this year.

Her mother-in-law, Alna Kritzinger, died en route to the hospital.

Batteson-Kritzinger's husband, Jake, was discharged from a Bloemfontein hospital recently after being admitted again for a recurring leg infection as a result of the accident.

His father, Koos Kritzinger, also survived the accident.
