Conspiracy Corner – How NOT to protect valuable items─── 16:13 Wed, 05 Nov 2025
Following a daring robbery at the Louvre, investigators discovered that the museum’s security password was simply “Louvre.” The revelation has sparked global disbelief and ridicule!
Last month, the Louvre fell victim to a robbery that shocked the art world. Although the suspects have since been apprehended, many are still scratching their heads, wondering how one of the most famous museums on Earth could be so easily breached.
According to ebaumsworld, it seems the answer lies in a security system that was far less sophisticated than anyone imagined.
According to Liberation, internal documents revealed that as recently as 2014, parts of the museum’s security network were protected by single-word passwords – including the main video surveillance system, which was guarded by the not-so-genius password “LOUVRE.”

But the issues didn’t stop there. A 2017 inspection uncovered that several critical systems were still running on outdated software, such as Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
And unlike the old saying, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it,” these systems were frequently malfunctioning – yet still never replaced.
Even today, reports suggest the Louvre remains plagued by outdated security infrastructure. Some systems are so old they can’t even be updated anymore because the original manufacturers – and any possible third-party providers – no longer support them.
In short, the world’s most famous museum might be better at preserving the past than protecting it.
