The University of the Free State Kovsies as well has the North West University Pukke netball teams have shot to the top of the Varsity Netball log after picking up their 4th wins from as many matches respectively.
The side from the Free State in their turn made a strong start to their match against the University of the Western Cape taking a early 25 goals to 9 lead after just the first quarter.
Kovsie captain Alicia Puren and her team continued to build on their lead to eventually run out 92-46 victors over UWC.
The win also propelled the Kovsie team to the top spot on the Varsity Netball log with 4 wins from 4 matches.
Trailing the UFS team on the log is the North West University Pukke who also remain unbeaten in the tournament.
The Pukke faced the Vaal University of Technology on Monday in a match that was one way traffic from the start.
By the halfway mark in the game, the Pukke held a commanding 54-10 lead over the Vaal and continued to extend that lead to make it 4 out of 4 with a 94 goals to 30 win.
Kovsies and Pukke travel to the Coetzenburg Indoor Centre at the University of Stellenbosch for their next respective fixtures.
