The Springbok flank, Oupa Mohoje, has opted to remain at the Toyota Cheetahs.

The loose forward was linked with a move to Cape Town along with his teammates, Raymond Rhule and Sergeal Petersen.

On his 27th birthday, yesterday, Mohoje confirmed that he will fulfil the remainder of his contract with the Pro14 bound team.

The former Shimlas and South Africa ‘A’ captain is contracted to the Cheetahs until the end of 2018.

On Tuesday evening the Cheetahs coach, Rory Duncan, confirmed to OFM Sport that the only players leaving will be Rhule and Petersen, and both will be eligible to play in the Pro14 until their departure.

The Cheetahs will begin their inaugural Pro14 campaign on 2 September in what is believed to be an away game. The official fixtures will be released early next week.

The South African Rugby Union will officially launch the Cheetahs' and Southern Kings' European adventure on Friday 11 August.
