Vishuis took no prisoners, beating Patria 55-29.

Vishuis kicked off the match, with Thato Mei scoring the first try of the final in just three minutes. Henco Posthumus missed the conversion but Vishuis were 5-0 up early in the game. Diniso Sihle broke the line and found the tryline for Vishuis, with Henco Posthumus converting successfully. Vishuis went 13-0 ahead.

After 14 minutes of play, Dean Bubb scored for Vishuis. Henco Posthumus converted successfully which meant that Vishuis were 21-0 up. Christiaan Swanepoel scored for Vishuis and Henco Posthumus made no mistake with his conversion. Vishuis were 29 up with Patria yet to make their presence felt.

Danco Burger put Patria on the board when he scored and converted his own try. Patria were in better spirits, but still trailing Vishuis 29-8. Nelius van Staden furthered Vishuis's lead when he scored. Henco Posthumus slotted his conversion, putting Vishuis 37-8 up.

Vishuis's WJ Kruger dived over the tryline for yet another impressive try, leaving Patria playing catch-up. Wian van der Watt continued Vishuis's try-scoring rampage when he scored a try, leaving Patria with a 49-8 deficit to chase.

Lodewyk Muller scored for Patria and Danco Burger converted, leaving FNB Patria trailing Vishuis 49-16. Heinrich Nieuwenhuizen continued the demolition of Patria when he dived over the line for Vishuis. Henco Posthumus missed his conversion, but Vishuis were still 55-16 ahead.

Geyer Terblanche tackled Patria's Riaan van der Spuy without the ball, resulting in him being sent to the sin bin for the remainder of the match.

Patria's Marnus Uys took advantage of Vishuis's 14 men on the field when he scored in the corner for FNB Patria. The conversion was unsuccessful, leaving Patria trailing Vishuis 55-21 with less than ten minutes to play.

Armando van Wyk scored on the cusp of full time for Patria. Maghiel le Roux's successful conversion put Patria 55-29 up as the siren signalled the conclusion of the match. Patria failed to capitalise on any opportunities in a game dominated by a powerful Vishuis team, with the latter walking away with the Res Rugby title for the third year in a row.
