Stage 4 load shedding continues─── 07:29 Sun, 17 Mar 2019
Stage 4 load shedding will again be implemented from 8am Sunday morning.
This after Eskom experienced a further decline in water reserves, which was used to supplement generation capacity.
The power utility said in a statement Saturday that the management of the diesel and water resources was essential to ensure that the impact of the potential stage of loadshedding in the week ahead could be reduced.
Eskom also continued with rotational loadshedding throughout the night in an effort to build up necessary water reserves in the pump storage scheme. Eskom implemented Stage 4 loadshedding due to the loss of capacity, which included imports from Mozambique.
Eskom further warned that at this stage, it appears unlikely that the imports from Mozambique will be restored in the next few days, which was affected by the cyclone Idai.
Customers are advised to keep checking their loadshedding schedules on the Eskom and their municipal website.
For Eskom customers, these schedules are available on the Eskom website (http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za). Eskom customers can also contact our customer contact centre at 0860 037 566.
