However, according to a statement by the national power utility, Stage 1 rotational load shedding will continue today from 09:00 until 23:00 as a result of a shortage of capacity due to a number of generating units still out of service due to breakdowns. 

Eskom warned its customers to take note that some areas may take longer to be restored, adding if customers experience outages for longer periods than announced they should contact Eskom or their municipality - as this may be a localised power outage. 

Eskom went on to thank its customers for using electricity sparingly and industrial customers for their participation in load curtailment yesterday. It said it would keep customers informed if there are any changes to the system.
