A 36-year-old suspect will appear before the Brits Magistrate Court after he was arrested in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R 12 000 at his house when police searched his home on Friday following a tip-off.

Police Spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, says another suspect in an unrelated incident in Orkney was also arrested on Friday for dealing in drugs, when the police found drugs in a vehicle he was travelling in.

Myburgh adds that the police were conducting crime prevention patrols, and when they stopped and searched the vehicle they found 21 small packets and dagga.

She says the 35-year-old Orkney suspect will appear before the local Magistrate Court tomorrow.
