Very little is known about the politician’s brother, Benny Modise, apart from the fact the he was the eldest out of the Speaker and former North West Premier’s five other siblings.

Premier, Job Mokgoro is among those who have extended their condolences to Modise and her family in Vryburg. Mokgoro’s spokesperson, Vuyisile Ngesi says the age of the politician’s older brother is not yet confirmed, but will be soon.

Ngesi reveals, Mokgoro paid a visit to the family home in Vryburg upon receiving word of Benny Modise’s death.

The Premier “was told the family is still busy with funeral arrangements and as soon as those are concluded, they will be communicated to the government and the people of the North West” concludes Ngesi.
