Eskom extends lifestyle audits to all staff─── 15:30 Mon, 17 Feb 2020

Eskom is extending lifestyle audits to all staff. The audits - which began two years ago - were only looking at senior managers and their families.
The power utility is on a drive to clamp down on corruption.
Eskom spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshantsha, said the company wants “to root out bad elements within the workforce where people are actually doing business with the organisation, which is quite illegal.”
Mantshantsha said the procurement department will be in the spotlight during the audits.
He said Eskom will take action against those found in the wrong.
"The fact of the matter is that this is being done for the good of the country and for the good of the company itself.
"If there is any prima facie evidence that's been found, the first thing to do is disciplinary against the particular employee and lay charges with the police, the Special Investigating Unit," he added.
