Ex-OFM journo takes alleged abuser to court─── 12:19 Tue, 30 Jun 2020

A Port Elizabeth businessman made his first appearance in the PE Magistrate's Court on Tuesday morning for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
This follows the alleged assault of 25-year-old beautician and PE-based local radio presenter Josca Human. Human previously worked as a journalist for OFM News. The 33-year-old Naadir Abader is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, as well as a charge of malicious damage to property.
Human laid a charge with the police after photographs of her injuries went viral on social media. A small group of protesters gathered outside the court on Tuesday to show their support, not only for Human, but also to express their anger against gender-based violence. Abader is out on bail of R500 and will be back in court on 5 August. This is not Abader’s first brush with the law.
In September 2017, his then-girlfriend laid a charge of assault against him but it was later withdrawn.
In 2013, Abader was found guilty of assaulting a male employee and fined R600.
