MDB encourages residents to participate in submissions─── ELSABÉ RICHARD 15:46 Tue, 30 Jun 2020
Submitting written proposals on municipal wards is beneficial to residents.
This is according to chairman of the Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB), Thabo Manyoni, who urges residents to fill in the submission forms and voice their complaints and concerns with their wards ahead of the 2021 Local Government Elections.
Manyoni tells OFM News that these written submissions are crucial to help the MDB in understanding what the different wards’ needs are in light of the upcoming local elections.
OFM News recently reported that the MDB extended the due date for written submissions to 31 July 2020 due to coronavirus lockdown regulations prohibiting the board to conduct public consultations.
Residents are encouraged to submit their written submissions online at www.demarcation.org.za or send an email to registry@demarcation.org.za. A downloadable delimitation form is available on the website.
