Numsa strike: Workers want 8% increase─── 06:18 Wed, 28 Oct 2020
The Retail Motor Industry has been given 14 days to respond positively to workers' demands for an 8 percent wage increase agreed to last year.
Members of metalworkers' union Numsa marched to the RMI's offices across several provinces on Tuesday.
They also want the motor industry’s bargaining council to be reformed so it can mediate fairly between the two parties.
The strike follows failed wage negotiations with the Retail Motor Industry.
