CUT students stage a protest─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 10:30 Mon, 14 Jun 2021

Students at the Central University of Technology (CUT) in Bloemfontein have once again expressed their grievances.
The group, represented by the EFF, disrupted classes and barricaded entrances to the main campus. Payment of students' allowances, the extension of online assessments, and quarantine sites for students infected with Covid-19 are amongst some of their demands. The party's Bongani Bulawa, who is also in the SRC, tells OFM News their plight has fallen on deaf ears with the university seemingly not doing anything to address their issues. He says several students have tested positive for the coronavirus on campus, yet nothing has been done about that.
The CUT is yet to respond to OFM News' inquiry. This is a developing story.
