#NationalShutdown: 'Instigator' is charged─── 07:50 Fri, 16 Jul 2021

The authorities have made a breakthrough and have arrested and charged one person who allegedly instigated the widespread rioting and looting that has gripped the country for the past week.
Acting Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshaveni, said today that one of the 12 people the government has identified as being behind the riots has appeared in court.
And, another 46 people appeared at a Gauteng court in connection with looting in Diepsloot.
This comes as the country saw the death toll hit 117. So far, 1 478 people have been arrested.
Meanwhile, residents in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng have started panic-buying, with long, snaking queues being seen outside multiple supermarkets and shops.
Food and fuel shortages in those provinces have led the government to institute temporary regulations that will allow companies to openly share information with each other, in the hopes of stemming the economic fallout.
