The pair are also expected to brief the media regarding the ongoing national vaccination programme. Their briefing comes as the country had over two million positive cases with over 163 000 of them active. 

Whilst the recovery rate now stands at 90.1% the number of daily positive cases is still on a surge. Kubayi and Phaahla are also expected to outline details regarding the vaccination roll-out plan in the different provinces. 

The vaccination of older citizens, those in the 35 to 49 age group, as well as that of the Education sector, security clusters and Social Development, continues. With 240 000 people in the Social Development sector expected to get vaccinated, the Free State had confirmed to OFM News they are expecting to complete their vaccination drive of 15 270 individuals on Friday.
