#BreakingNews: Special Tribunal sets aside R32,9 million tender─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 15:42 Mon, 31 Jan 2022
The Special Tribunal in South Africa has set aside a controversial R39 million surgical gown tender awarded by the Free State Treasury.
The now unlawful and invalid tender was awarded to 32 service providers – only three of which were found to have supplied the surgical gowns as per tender specifications. Not only has the tribunal ordered that the service providers be divested of the profits they have derived or stand to derive from the tender, but they must also cover legal costs associated with the hearing.
This is a developing story.
