The economy grew by 1.9 percent in the first quarter of this year.
This after recording a growth rate of 1.4 percent in the last three months of 2021.

The figures by Stats SA show manufacturing was the biggest contributor to the first-quarter growth.
The sector grew by 4.9 percent in the first three months of the year.
