Government to debate fuel prices | News Article

The South African Government will have a Parliament sitting on Wednesday to debate the recent fuel price increases.

This, after Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana reportedly received a petition signed by approximately 130 000 nationals who want the fuel price slashed.

The DA Shadow Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Kevin Mileham, tells OFM News that all parties will be present at the sitting, as it is of urgent, national importance.

“We will be formally tabling our proposals on how government can and must slash the fuel price. And all political parties will have an opportunity to make inputs, and obviously the minister will have an opportunity to respond to those inputs.”
