According to data from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, the cost of 93 and 95 octane petrol will increase by 51 cents per liter. 

The price of diesel, however, has significantly increased by R1.43 cents per liter, indicating that it has not fully recovered. 

Diesel prices are also spiraling due to rising demand and tight supply. Illuminating paraffin will cost 77 cents more.

 According to the department, a stronger dollar, and a weaker rand, both contributed to increased prices.
