Siwelele eye second win in first away test─── MORGAN PIEK 11:11 Tue, 12 Aug 2025

The Premier Soccer League newcomers, Siwelele FC, are set for their second major test of the 2025/26 season when they play their first away match on Tuesday evening.
After a dream start at home, the Bloemfontein-based club will be aiming to collect maximum points on the road.
On Saturday, Siwelele announced their arrival in top-flight football with a commanding 3–1 victory over Golden Arrows at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, in what was a historic evening for the club and its supporters.

On Tuesday, they’ll face Orbit College FC, a Rustenburg-based side that earned promotion to the PSL at the end of last season. The match will take place at the iconic Dobsonville Stadium, the traditional home of the original Soweto giants, Moroka Swallows.
Despite Orbit suffering a 1–0 defeat to AmaZulu in their opening fixture, Seema’s charges are under no illusion – the league isn’t won in round one, and every game will demand full focus.
Siwelele head coach, Lehlohonolo Seema, believes the win over Arrows was just the beginning and that his team, still finding their feet in the top-flight, has plenty to build on.
“Definitely, we’ve won, and I’m happy – but there’s still a lot that didn’t go right,” said Seema after Saturday’s match.
“We can keep the ball better, make better decisions. Even the goal we conceded was a soft one. We need to defend better and make sure the opponent doesn’t even get a sniff.
“They had one or two chances, and maybe Ricardo Goss made one save in the first half – other than that, it was just efforts over the bar.
“We’re still trying to find ourselves. This is still a new baby, and it needs support – it’s a process. The players understand that. But this is the Premiership, and you can’t keep saying you’re building forever. You’ve got to build while you’re trying to win, especially at home.”

Seema also highlighted the importance of making a strong start to the season, with every point crucial in the long run.
“This is a good start, but we’re playing away on Tuesday, and it won’t be easy. No game will be. Last season, after five games, this team had four points. This season, after one game, we already have three, and that shows improvement."
“We’re not getting ahead of ourselves. The focus is on collecting as many points as we can.”
Tuesday night’s clash at Dobsonville Stadium kicks off at 19:30, while elsewhere, Marumo Gallants will host Orlando Pirates at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.
