The former Premier Soccer League club, Bloemfontein Celtic, is set for a revival after it has been entered to compete in the ABC Motsepe League for the 2021/22 season.

Recently, the cash-strapped club sold its PSL status to the KwaZulu-Natal-based Royal AM. This saw several of the top players and coaches being contracted and relocated to Royal AM.

Over the last few days, Celtic contacted four former PSL players in the form of Tani Mpusana, Thokozani Hlubi, Moses Mokoena, and Gerhard Phafoli, and they prepare to play in the third-tier competition.

Celtic General Manager Sainty Molale confirmed that the club is set to play into the ABC Motsepe League this season.

"We are ready for the start of the league which I think will kick off in the second week of October.

"I can mention that coach Jeffrey Lekgetla will be in charge of the team."

The most successful club in the history of the ABC Motsepe League is Roses United, who was owned by the very same Max Tshabalala who bought Celtic from Jimmy Augousti.
