A man on probation and under house arrest, handed himself over to the police just to "escape" from his wife.

Being out of the house for a couple of hours might help a married couple avoid arguments. 

Time spent out, helps you calm down, relax and re-think any issues you might be having.

But for this Albanian citizen in Rome, who was already under house arrest, a couple of hours might have not been enough. 

This article on iol.co.za states the man "was no longer able to cope with the forced cohabitation with his wife". 

The man couldn't handle the time with his wife so much, that he broke the conditions of his parole, went to the police station and asked them to arrest him as he would rather spend the rest of his sentence in prison rather than under house arrest with his wife.  

According to Captain Francesco Giacomo Ferrante of the Tivoli Carabinieri, "He lived at home with his wife and family. It wasn't going well anymore."

He said: 'Listen, my domestic life has become hell, I can't do it anymore, I want to go to jail."

As strange as this might sound, the man did get arrested for violating his house arrest conditions and was transferred to prison. 

We are quite sure that we aren't the only ones wondering exactly what happened in that house for this man to literally walk himself to prison...
