According to Sky News, Cyprus police are investigating a rather weird case. A statue of a giant potato was vandalized on New Year's Day.  The sculpture, which stood at 4 meters in the village of Xylophagou, was cut down from its stand in the early hours of the morning of the 1st of January.  

Nicknamed the "big potato", the statue made headlines around the world when it was installed in October 2021.
