Mariah Carey's Secret Battle With Bipolar II Disorder
Mariah Carey is setting herself free and letting loose, the singer opened up about living with bipolar II disorder—and why she kept it a secret from the public for nearly two decades of her life. Carey was first diagnosed in 2001, after she was hospitalized for a mental and physical breakdown that she went through.
Carey recently went for treatment, and this is what she said. "Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me. It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn't do that anymore. I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love—writing songs and making music" good to know that the famous singer is having positive thoughts about her wellbeing.
