RITA ORA TEAMS UP WITH HER ‘GIRLS’ FOR NEW SINGLE | News Article

RITA ORA is set to continue her run of top ten hits with the new single, ‘Girls’ featuring Cardi B, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX.

Rita Ora says of the single: “These past few years I’ve been so inspired by all the strong women I’ve seen who aren’t afraid to be themselves. For those who aren’t afraid to rule the world, this is our anthem. A celebration of love. And of course, thank you to all the fellow boss women who so kindly graced this song with me - each representing who they are and where they are from. I hope you dance your socks off with us!”

Rita has sold a staggering seven million singles, had 12 top ten singles (five of which received platinum status and five of which are gold certified) and a number 1 platinum-selling debut album all under her belt. She has cemented herself as one of the most successful UK pop acts of the last decade. Her return to music last year culminated in 1 billion streams and views worldwide and four globe-spanning smash hit singles.

‘Your Song’ became Rita’s biggest hit around Europe and has been streamed millions of times around the world, ‘Lonely Together’ her collaboration with Avicci released in August became a global top ten hit. ‘Anywhere’ released last October hit number two in the UK and earlier this year, ‘For You’, a duet Liam Payne, became her fourth top ten hit. The singles will all feature on Rita’s upcoming album due later this year.

‘Girls’ is released on the eve of Rita’s European tour in May. The tour, which sold out instantly, will feature two new British artists opening for Rita. “I knew I wanted to give an opportunity to new singers so chose Raye and Kara because they are dope and more people need to be aware of how talented they are. I wanted to share the stage and give other women a chance like I had, it’s important we support each other.”
