Odendaalsrus - Three young children were killed when their house caught fire in Kutlwanong in Odendaalsrus in the early hours of this morning. Free State police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo says it is alleged Modiehi Motsolo and her four children were sleeping in their RDP house when the bedroom Motsolo and three of her children share caught fire at around 02:25 this morning. The eldest son sleeps in another room in the house. It is suspected that a candle fell over causing the fire. Motsolo and her eldest son managed to escape the fire, while a girl and two boys - Mamokete, Thabo and Tshepiso - died in the fire. The mother also sustained burned wounds and is receiving treatment at Thusanong hospital in Odendaalsrus. No foul play is suspected.
