Car overturned on Schoonspruit Bridge─── 12:28 Mon, 29 Jul 2019
Motorists and pedestrians crossing the Schoonspruit Bridge on the N12 in Klerksdorp, North West, have stopped to have a look as towing personnel struggled to retrieve a white Mercedes-Benz which allegedly overturned and left the bridge.
When OFM News correspondent Joba Matsheng arrived at the scene at around 08:00, cars were seen parked next to the bridge while traffic, police and emergency officials were hard at work.
It is alleged that a male driver managed to escape with minor injuries and was taken to hospital where he was discharged after being treated for shock. The car was badly damaged. The car was travelling from the direction of Jouberton in the early hours of this morning. The cause of the accident is not known at this stage.
