Solar project underway in Ottosdal─── 18:00 Tue, 21 Jan 2020
About 50 young people from Letsopa near Ottosdal in the North West are being trained to install solar geysers.
The aim of the project is to install solar geysers at the homes of seniors citizens in the area. Letsopa is set to be the first township to have solar geysers in Tswaing. Ward councillor, Mbuyiselo Booi, told OFM News that he hopes the project will expand to other townships such as Agisanang, Atamelang and Delareyville.
Booi further adds there is still a long way to go in terms of skills development in the community. He hopes that trained youth will make great use of this opportunity.
Trainee Walter Phutiagae told OFM News that he is grateful to be part of the training. He further states that the project will alleviate poverty and decrease unemployment.
